Canadian medicines with clinical-trial evidence for a new indication

53 of the 932 medicines with a CaTxGNN report have a TxGNN-predicted new indication graded at evidence level L1 or L2 (12 at L1, 41 at L2), meaning clinical-trial evidence (randomized trials, Phase 2–3 trials or systematic reviews) was found for it.

The medicines come from Health Canada’s Drug Product Database (DPD), with each product’s DIN status shown in the drug report; the list reflects the drug reports as last updated on 2026-11-06.

Trial evidence for a predicted indication is not proof of efficacy. Every candidate below still requires clinical validation and regulatory review before any clinical use.

How to read this list

  • Evidence level follows the site’s criteria: L1 = Multiple Phase 3 RCTs / systematic reviews; L2 = Single RCT or multiple Phase 2 trials. “(with caveat)” means the drug report qualifies the grade; read the note in the report before relying on it.
  • Predicted new indication is the main prediction shown in each drug report. Indications and contraindications already recorded in the TxGNN knowledge graph are excluded, but some predictions may still overlap an established use; the report explains this where it applies.
  • Registered trials cited counts the ClinicalTrials.gov (NCT) numbers cited in the drug report. Reports cite a selection of the trials found; 0 means the report cites no registered trial, and its literature evidence section shows the basis for the grade.
  • For all levels and the full method, see High Evidence (L1-L2), All Drugs and the methodology.
